the sights, sounds and thoughts for the week. this is going to be very randomly written but if u see a pattern good for you.

this morning some random newspaper said that facebook is now a way to keep dead ppl alive or even to help ppl who are alive to cope with those who have left. I don’t know, in my opinion, its sick. besides the jokes we always make that dummy accounts are made by aliens to spy on earthlings livelihood. but its just sad that there is no other outlet to mourn for these passings and we need to turn to virtual reality instead. and interestingly enough - facebook is this sick place where bitchiness is perpetuated and things get really ugly in a much more accelerated speed. so what are we going to do to this sinful place. nothing. absolutely nothing.

a quote from big bang theory:

Sheldon: I have a very wide circle. I have 212 friends on myspace.

Leonard: Yes, and you’ve never met one of them.
Sheldon: That’s the beauty of it.

scientists say we have evolved

the europeans say the orientals have civilized

i say.. we have never left off from where we started - as primitive as ever, as alone as ever

like the woman i saw this morning. with a tiffany charm bracelet, lv bag, g.armani glasses, even the wallpaper of her phone is murakami's designed of the lv prints. totally mismatched and yet totally branded. does all these make her happy - a little i'm sure but for a very short while. and a min later there she goes looking for new branded goods as well. its scary how we have this insatiable appetite for useless things. i agree i fall into this category as well. but its just sad because it seems like we are more backward than before. at least then they make weapons to kill. but us? we buy things to show the world we are fitting in. similarly, its just weird to try to fit it by singling urself out. too much irony in this place. i need to leave.

recently, i realized one fact - the older i get, the more things i am clueless about. i can ask a whole train of why questions and they can be continued with another long list of whys...

to describe the world as sad or tragic is just not enough. because cynicism has set in once again. there is a need to remind myself that people do:

say things they dont mean,

say mean things intentionally,

say that they will do things for you but never got about doing it,

do mean things and completely forget after that.

we just see too little too much
