i have always wondered to myself, what the other ppl in the trains are listening to on their ipods... in this time and age, we act like androids, forever plugged into to something - our ipods or mp3 players while travelling, walking, waiting for a friend, shopping. this morning, as i left my charger in office, i was left to listen to the sounds of the morning. its not that bad, but i prefer the comforting sounds of my ipod. through these grey rimmed ivory headphones, i exist - without laughter, without assumptions, with preconceptions - in my own randomed world.

if this comfort zone is breached. i feel uncomfortable even irritated, like my bus trip home today. perhaps i should get in-ear headphones. i decided to reduce the amplitudes of my ipod to suit my hisaishi repertoire, my journey home was tainted by this pair sitting behind me who were talking about - legs

girl: i think netballers have the best looking legs
boy: hmmm. i think basketballers would too.
girl: (quick to deny) no no no..
~ringing handphone, i was thinking to myself... prob uni students
girl (talking on the phone): i just ended work, so i'll prob be reaching harbour front station soon. and when i reach potong pasir i'll give u a call.
~this girl has the nice and innocent voice, i was thinking to myself prob quite a cute or pretty girl, since its a weird topic to be talking to a male colleague about, and of course pretty girls are always given the benefit of the doubt.
girl: well i really like the legs of male basketballers or soccer players, imagine a guy with good body and can speak well (yes i refuse to elaborate her ideal boy)
~still thinking to myself this girl must be damn pretty
boy: well i think its all fluff talk... i mean even if u found a guy like that i dont think he will like you..
~ouch hahaha. maybe this guy is damn cute too. reaching harbour front, they got down the bus, i could only see their back view so i can't really tell, but from the upper deck, i could see them getting down the bus and finally their faces - utter disappointment.

as random as always - i shall talk about the interesting conversations this week :)

me: talking to you, i suddenly thought of something really random
friend: what?
me: imagine if u were gay and i was having an affair, who would God forgive?
friend: hahaha
me and friend simultaneously: well since adultery is clearly listed as part of the 10 commandments. and being gay is debatable...
friend: i think i might be better off than you

me: losing steam
friend: dear train, take a short break n press on
me: :)

and just when i was complaining about the simpsons plot for this season. in the newest episode homer turned gay and had a short musical about it. classically hilarious :D
