have not really updated. come to think of it - maybe there isnt much for me to start writing a post. i like my new skin. but of course if you have like font issues do give me some feedback.

as an update: i have not become an angry, unemployed, discouraged person YET but reality is starting to sting because when your parents try to assure you that its just a matter of time the more guilt i feel. well at least one thing is confirm, my accomdation - will be shifting to my uncle's place soon. and its not half bad :) on a lighter note, the same position is open in another competing firm. at least now i am more knowledgeable in whatever position that i'm applying for and will try nail it this time. and hopefully be able to turn back and say - screw you suckers haha. see i'm still hopeful and sarcastic.

so many birthdays. and soon its the month of august already. being in singapore is hard to forget my birthday esp when its a national holiday the next day. so we were like discussing what presents to get and stuff. mix opinions i had. some people can't seem to think about what they want or some people want expensive gifts and they are nice not to tell their friends or some people think that to solve your friends' miseries you should just list them all out. perhaps i always have this scare of what if i have listed out all these things i want but i didnt get any. you can't blame me for being cynical okay. well growing older personally is not a big deal but to me growing older would mean that my parents are aging as well. scary. there is nothing much i can remember from my commencement but the conversations that my parents and uncles/aunties on death, funeral, health and nutritional products are just depressing and of course the liNUS that my mom bought for me. the irony hah.

talking about irony - i always have stories to tell don't i - here's one ironic thing that happen during my commencement. at the end of the ceremony my mom witness some very embarassing event which is a total contradiction of what a commencement ceremony epitomizes. hah while being ushered out of their seats during the end of the ceremony, a very frustrated parent A who was seated near my mom decided to tell the parent B in front of him that he had been really rude as he was talking loudly during the ceremony. hah. of course parent A being the usual self-righteous sort, he told parent B "it was very uneducated of you to be talking so loudly during the ceremony" but in singapore you never bow down to self-righteousness do you. its a free country ain't it - natural reaction of parent B, a person who would dare to talk loudly throughout the ceremony, stereotypes aside, haha, he said "so you think you are very educated to tell me what i should be doing?" hahah (of course script has been modified, all heresay but the word (un)educated was used many many times) and the fight broke out. yikes. and of course now we have typical parent C, the i-should-put-my-feet-in-to-stop-this-nonsense guy "Guys, guys, cool down" haha and poor fellow got an immediate response (i wonder whether it was parent A or B) "YOU SHUDDUP!" this is an exact quotation from my petrified (me trying hard to embrace the recent harry potter hype haha it would be nice to just cast a temporary mute spell on them) mom. well if its true that we are reflections of our parents, good luck to your miss valedictorian, i think what you have said about us being a lighted candle has jst all gone down the drain because this flame pass down from our parents is way too strong and has made a huge mess of wax in ucc.

p.s.: i need to start. start today.
