knock knock... reality is here

so every monday from 4-6 i will attend a philosophy class:
the author that wrote this module's readings is a man that will reply to a - did u like your trip to india - question, with that depends how u define the word 'like'.
fresh and totally unconventional. AND the lecturer for this modules calls typical economics terms like efficiency, capital and productivity words that are used to impressed his grandmother. i like. interesting as it may be, some would detest his teaching style haha so the prof received an email asking him what do you actually want us to learn from your course. how typically singaporean - its similar to asking how will the exams format be like in the first lecture when the lecturer asks anymore questions. his response: to learn and to write. sweet and brilliant. cool aye using simple terms to do abstraction and theorization and then explain neoclassical microeconomics. daunting ne.
year 4 economics: lecturers will constantly remind you that what you have learn for the past few years are, well, insufficient or too much. in some modules, you learn that all these terminologies that you have learn which were most definitely taken for granted are not that easy to be explained. its like takuya in change asking her to explain politics in grade 5 standard on the other hand, in some modules, you learn that whatever you have learn so far are not relevant anymore because there are too many factors which you have ignored, all the previous assumptions that you were told can be nullified by common sense.
interesting thing is: you would need three years to reach this stage where you can throw all that you have learn away. and you need three years to be able to finally not take what you have learn at face value and thus able to go back to basics. if the common words that keep popping up in my various profs lectures are apples and orange, i feel like i'm in a different world. how i wish i can just exist in a simple edgeworth box sometimes. haha 2 commodities, one price system, 2 players with their own set of preferences and endowments. period.
still its a totally micro sem except for money and banking. so this semesters vocabulary would most likely be linear algebra, summation, matrix, functions, f-test, multivariate... joy.
