unplugged
since my hectic periods are over. me had sometime to think. besides thinking about the credit market in the USA-interest rates-bank runs which i dont really wanna talk about just in case some competitive economics major is spying on me hah!
so while i was rushing of for rehearsals today. i was frantically plugging out my lan cable, the speakers, mouse, printer cable. the thought of me unplugging the life out of my pretty mac was vividly formed in my mind. perhaps i've been watching too much of paranoia agent - thus forming too many visions. or maybe it was the bloody amount of time spent on geographical imagination that i cant stop imagining things now. how cool it would be if humans can dissociate themselves from society and relationships as conveniently as unplugging my cables. no-strings-attached they call it. i call it - you just have an emotional problem.
since we are at this topic - i've made a sadistic conclusion. i think i'm addicted to falling in love with waiting itself. so my friends and i were discussing about many relationship problems. of course topic number 1, with regards to the three-most-recent sexuality groups at the moment, ie: heterosexuality, homosexuality and asexuality.
and number 2. are we just expecting too much. still have to be firm with my stand - never settle for second best because its like buying a handphone, if its a phone that you have been dying to get, you will never care if the phone has dropped in price over weekend after you have bought it. you will be so happy with it that you dont care at all. self indulgence i call it but u can call it living in deception. and then when all rationality fails - you have to appear yet again. i thought those were just flashes of memories. alas so wrong was i.
so carrie breadshaw says:
When it comes to relationships, I couldn't help but wonder. What are we fighting for?
you must be wondering what is paranoia agent. and living in deception will be my third point for today. its an anime with lots of thinking involved. its general theme - reality vs illusion. basically its many stories but all linked together. the artist played around characters who are 'cornered'. how true... humans are cornered into insanity. so much so that they imagine a place of nirvana. i'm sure every one does that. i mean even subtly we always hope for a better life in the future. now is never good enough. my problems now are bigger than yours so stop acting pitiful and pick yourself up. its all these illusionary thoughts. i mean even school - i'm from arts i belong.
so last point i guess - i finally understood the difference between an arts student and a science student/engine student. okie maybe some of you might find this offensive. but this is my point of view. i believe science people can be very complex too but when it comes to work i think they are too 2-D. like an anime. the story line can be really complicated but still its 2D. no one is saying 2D is bad. hey simpsons has been 2D since forever. but in a way... hmm there is a certain kind of life that is not there. for example: this year geography has lab, biology has lab - but the geography lab is not lab. instead its like a tiny cosmopolitan society. everyone has their own views and they are allowed to say so. bio lab however is so methodological. you read you follow, you listen you mimic. of course we are talking about basic level experiments but hey geography is 1101 too. so its fair comparison. besides the requirements of these modules, the people in science and arts are just too different. too different and i got first hand knowledge just the other day. watever it is i'm glad i'm counted as social science aka arts :)
see with all these things over. i finally got time to think and want to write it down.
