japanese movies galore

1. WATER BOYS
this show came out in the movies when i was in sec 3/4. i remember yoyomon praising it over and over again. i felt so sad that i didnt go with them. but i finally watched it and i could still remember her telling me the story in an animated way. hee. this show is super hilarious. its not the we
need to think show. pure entertainment and fun. of course with guys in trunks. their awfully skinny though. they don't do conventional swimming hee they are synchronize swimmers wahahaha.
2. HULA GIRLS
well as compared to water boys this show has a message. along the lines of industrialization where old coa
l mines are getting closed down and so many people are losing their jobs. so someone decided to break tradition and wanted to boost the village's economy through tourism - ie: creating a pseudo hawaii out of a cold japanese town. so there are the old people who resisted the change, but there are also the younger ones who wants to join this entertainment industry as hula girls. so its the journey of how change will always be met with heaps of obstacles bla bla bla... the lead actress is so pretty :)
3. UDON
i think japanese movies are hilarious and this is another one of them. its super farney but has a message too. even though none of the actors/actresses are very pretty but i'll give them credit for their ability to act. this story is also set in an udon village in japan. basically an udon craze was created by this small local magazine. and the lead characters are the writers of this articles. i am never a fan of udon - i mean their soup base is just so salty. but their articles will make you want to try all the small udon joints in the area. but with the sudden inflow of many many foreigners the local traditions, the quality of
udon starts to drop and eventually the hype went down and the magazine had to close down. the lead character decided to finally make peace with his dad who is a very famous udon maker but... hee good story! their journey in search of all the secluded udon shops are so much fun!
