the family’s girl.
safety in
malaysia must be really really bad. there were thieves that broke into my house a few weeks back. so, my mom is still in a state of paranoia. well i do not blame her for it. but here i am - a victim of consequences. it is impossible to be left alone at home. if there is a dinner i must at least tag along with SOMEONE.
interestingly enough, as i woke up this morning : everyone expected me to tag along with them =) but i went with the most
unexpecting member - eldest brother. so the whole house was, even my cousins was informed. they thought i was kidnapped. amazing. this is how paranoid a family can be if they were staying in a country like this.
well there are perks being a family’s girl. for one u get to attend all functions. you are tended to every moment during your long stay at home. but of course the minus-es (the sight of this word brings jitters) comes along with the perks. you HAVE to attend every dinner - ridiculous or not. you have to report wherever you are every moment. or else i will be the cause of PANIC. well times are bad so -even though it is very different from that in
sgp - you have to learn to adapt.
so here i was dragged along to some wedding dinner (without a choice) on
friday night. you can still learn lots of things when doing things reluctantly =) well apparently this man is some huge businessman who is a sole dealer of
sth in the entire
malaysia. so his son is getting married. i must say it was a very interesting night. for one guess what they are called.
mr ICE
poh and ms FISH
chong. can you believe that!! no.2 most alarming thing, according to our most careful calculations the groom’s
maximum age must only be around 21 and the bride a few years younger i would say - they look like hobbits,
minuscule human beings. *shrieks* so according to their standards, i should have been married and pregnant by now then. what is wrong with this society. you are not even an adult at 21: so many things to enjoy and learn - well i guess this is a sore loser talking and living in self denial
haha. but, honestly, its scary these things are still happening in the city. i am shocked. what happened to studying (i guess being born in a really rich family you can choose not to and of course they will not have to work too then) so their purpose in life will be to procreate and live a life of no worries.
bizarre wedding but i finally know where
zouk is. i am a kl idiot. and no, the wedding - as ridiculous as it was - was not held in
zouk. so paranoia clouds us all that night. my mom worrying about the safety of the house, me about my age and am i doing the right thing after living almost 22 years of my life. one thing for sure - in kl i’ll never grow up and must tag along with someone because its dangerous everywhere.
